Once you have started your business, you will need to advertise whatever product and/or service you will be offering in order to attract your clients or customers. No one will ever know you are there unless you tell them.

Of course, there are many places in which to advertise however in this day and age one of the best places, and predominately free, is the Internet. Here are just a few of the ways that you can get your business noticed.

1. Add a brief advertisement about your business to your email signature. It doesn’t need to be long or complicated, just enough information to interest the reader in to wanting to learn more about you and your business. Don’t forget to include a link to your website!

2. Take advantage of all the social networking sites. Many of them have specific places to advertise your business and its products or services. Also, just chatting about your business with your online contacts can do wonders. Remember that oftentimes your friend’s friend will see your post too. These sites are also excellent venues for connecting with potential clients!

3. Advertise your business on your blog and talk about what it is you do and the products or services you are offering. Choose good and solid keywords that are easily found by the search engines and tell the world you are there. Make your advertising posts interesting and unique so they catch and keep the reader’s attention and turn them in to a customer!

4. Look for forums that are in your industry. They are a great place to meet new people yes, but they are also excellent places to advertise and get noticed. And if you pick up a new customer or two along the way, all the better!
